Get to Know the Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV

Hyundai's Ioniq 5 looks stylish, comes with nice interior amenities, and showcases a lot of power. It can be fun to drive around town since it can accelerate so quickly, and best of all, it doesn't require a drop of fuel.

Trim Levels

You have the opportunity to choose from five trims at our dealership, starting with the SE Standard Range. It offers a variety of high-tech systems, so it may not seem like an entry-level model at all. The SE can travel further on a single charge, making it ideal for many customers. With the SEL and Limited, you get to utilize more convenient features and high-tech systems. In partnership with Disney, Hyundai has also designed the D100 Platinum Edition. It rides on special Disney-inspired alloy wheels and looks distinct with its Disney100 floor mats and badging. Note that this special trim is only available in limited quantities.

Interior and Exterior

The Ioniq 5 doesn't look like too many other SUVs driving around town. It has interesting stylistic elements, such as rectangular LED headlights and automatic-retracting flush door handles. It sits 6.1 inches off the ground, which is fairly low for an SUV. This ground clearance helps it with aerodynamics. The heated side mirrors can come in handy during the winter, and if you get a model with a hands-free smart power liftgate, you'll have an easier time loading your cargo area. Inside the cabin, you'll find a nice amount of space. If you need to, lower the rear seats to give yourself almost 60 cubic feet of cargo capacity. A small front trunk, otherwise known as a frunk, can hold small items, too. You'll have the opportunity to get an Ioniq 5 with high-end components like heated and ventilated front seats, a relaxation function for the driver's seat, and a heated steering wheel. The available vision roof can bring in so much natural light while you're traveling.

Performance

Hyundai makes single-motor, rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor, all-wheel-drive versions of the Ioniq 5. The SE Standard Range is only available with rear-wheel drive, and its engine is able to produce 168 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It can do a good job in terms of range, as it's able to travel 220 miles on a single charge. With their more robust batteries, mid-level trims with rear-wheel drive have an estimated range of 303 miles, and those with all-wheel drive have a range of 260 miles. A rear-wheel-drive version of the SE, SEL, or Limited can make 225 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Horsepower and torque increase to 320 and 446 pound-feet when the Ioniq 5 runs on two engines. The D100 Platinum Edition is only offered with all-wheel drive, and like the SE, SEL, and Limited, it can haul up to 2,300 pounds around.

Technology

The Ioniq 5's 12.3-inch touchscreen will draw your attention. It's equipped with navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM, so you'll have access to a lot of information and programs. In addition, the EV has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Use this display to keep track of your performance and range.

Safety

With a variety of driver-assist systems, the Ioniq 5 can look out for problems for you. It will alert you to vehicles in your blind spot, potential frontal collisions, lane departures, and other safety concerns. In some situations, it can adjust your steering or braking to keep you safe. It's also available with a surround view monitor and a remote smart parking system.

The Ioniq 5 EV has quickly made a name for itself. With all of its impressive features, it could meet your high expectations.
