2021 Hyundai Palisade in Danbury, CT
What's New for 2021?
In the Carmel, NY area, the Palisade is available in SE, SEL, Limited, and Calligraphy trims. The Calligraphy surpasses the Limited as the top-level tier, and it mainly distinguishes itself from the rest of the pack with exterior features such as side mirror approach lights, rear accent lighting, distinctively designed front grille and bumpers, front and rear skid plates, and trim-exclusive roof-mounted center high-mount stop light and alloy wheels.Apart from the introduction of the Calligraphy, nothing has changed on the Palisade. It is still powered by a 291-horsepower 3.8-liter direct-injected V6 engine that is joined to an eight-speed transmission. It is a beefy yet smooth powertrain, with the ability to tow up to 5,000 pounds. Although front-wheel is standard, Danbury customers can opt for an all-wheel drivetrain to perform better on slippery surfaces. All-wheel drive is standard on the Calligraphy.
Interior Features
The Hyundai Palisade is noted as among the most spacious vehicles in the midsize SUV class, with a passenger volume of 155.3 cubic feet. Three rows of cloth-trimmed seats typically accommodate up to eight people, although on trims above the SE, the bench-style seat in the second row is swapped with a pair of captain's seats (which reduces maximum occupancy to seven). Although cargo space is measured at 18 cubic feet, you can fold down the third-row seats for expansion to 45.8 cubic feet or both second- and third-row seats for a maximum of 86.4 cubic feet.Hyundai adds front-seat heating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and eight-way power adjustability with two-way power lumbar support on the driver's seat on the SEL. The Limited gets Nappa leather seat trim, rear-seat heating and cooling, front-seat cooling, eight-way power adjustability on the front passenger seat, an upgrade to four-way power lumbar support on the driver's seat, steering-wheel heating, and driver-side memory. Quilted leather-door panels are exclusive to the Calligraphy.
Technology
The Palisade is stuffed with tech features to ensure a high level of comfort and convenience. The infotainment system combines an AM/FM stereos system, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration, Bluetooth® hands-free calling and audio streaming, HD Radio digital tuning, an eight-inch touchscreen, and a total of five USB ports (three in the front and two in the second row) for playing media from and charging mobile devices. The SEL is enhanced with proximity keyless entry with push-button engine start, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a garage-door opener, and tri-zone automatic climate control. New Milford drivers who really treasure their infotainment should spring for the Limited or Calligraphy, which each include wireless device charging, 10.25-inch touchscreen navigation, a trial subscription to SiriusXM Radio, third-row USB ports, and a 12-speaker 630-watt Harman Kardon® sound system.

Advanced Safety Features

- Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
- Smart Cruise Control with Stop-And-Go Technology
- Lane Following Assist
- Lane Keeping Assist
- Driver Attention Warning
Blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe exit assist are added on the SEL.
